There was no way to get this neck nut out. No way, except maybe w/ a dremel and carefully sanding down w/a wheel.
I really should have left it alone, what I did was another stupid thing, Taking it to a Luthier to fix woulda been a wash, valuewise, but IO could have sold it for more.
Ive taken a glued in nut out sucsessfully b4 w/ Peavey guitar, I just cut a kerf and sort of chiseled the nut, and even though i did chip the headstock in two places, they were small chips and werer able to be glued back in without being very noticeable.
This neck was a goner, the guy uberglued that bone nut in and it wasnt coming out, no way no how..and its going to be sold for salvage.
From now on, I go to Mark Erlewine or another pro luthier in Austin if I have something important enough to have done , or just scrap the project entirely.
