Epi Firebird

Anyone have any experience with the newer Epiphone Firebird? Ive always loved the Firebird shape and the Epi isnt a bad price at $650. I havent had a chance to handle one except the Slash version and the neck was a baseball bat, which I hated.

I know Epi has stepped up their game as of lately, but havent owned one in years.

i liked the last one i played, but it was a while ago, and the neck was pretty big. i like that, but sounds like you dont. not sure if the newer ones are more 60s neck style

I think the newer ones are based off a 63 Firebird, which is described as a slim taper C shaped neck. One of the reviews I watched did state the neck gets pretty thick near the body but still retains the C shape and Ive also seen a review or two that called it between a C and D shaped neck

The necks are wide not so much baseball bat like. They're really nice though, I keep thinking I'll get one eventually.

I like the older MIK FBVII's they made, really nice necks. never should've sold the one I had, oh well lol
