epi joe pass needs a more Gretsch sound

I want a more Gretsch CG sound on my dad's Epi Joe Pass Emperor! Any sug.?
Already installed a bigsby on it!

Try installing gretsch pickups?

Learn some chet atkins?

What about the Dimarzio EJ Custom pickups? I think they're designed to nail the exact tone you're talking about. I've had them, and they're great. Super clear, clean, bright and spanky.

+1 on the TV Jones TV-Trons. Even Gretsch is using 'em on their high end guitars!

Part of it depends what type of Gretsch sound your looking for. That Gretsch sound could be anything from Malcom Young (Ac/dc) or Billy Gibbons (ZZ top) to Chet Atkins. If your going for the Chet Atkins sound, which I'm assuming because of the bigsby, a huge part of the Gretsch tone is the hollow boy.

He specified a Country Gentleman, so that counts out Gibbons and Young. The Epi Joe Pass model is a big thick hollowbody, just like a CG, so getting close to that tone with a set og TV 'trons shouldn't be too much of a problem.

My dad passed away 6 months ago I know he wouldn't mind me altering the guitar
