Nice price considering they were $599 and now are the price of the Epi Standards. edit: I played one, and was a nice guitar that I happened to think kicked the PRS Soap Bar II's be-hind.

I'm broke, but others may enjoy one. Later.

Really? May have just been that one, unfortunately. That's the only thing with slumming on low end epi's. There are a lot (a WHOLE LOT) of un-inspiring feel/tone guitars out there. But some are killer! And well worth palying a bunch to find! My classic is awesome.

PRS Soap II you say? Tasty well made axe - you should have maybe grabbed that Goldtop!

I was looking at both, but bought neither several months ago. Both are nice for the coin! The Epi was was simply a more thunderous combo...at least between those two.

I have some semblence of sanity at times! I really am that broke. Violin music alert: I just dumped $800 into my 17 year old beater Camry for repair. No tears allowed...Life really is good!:13:

Plus Ace, I would never buy a guitar without playing it first. This info may at least gives someone wiggle room when negotiating at GC, and other 'tailers.

A friend of mine has one, although he's put mini-buckers in it. He'll come round to the P-90's sooner or later. I've already got him gassing for a Tele, even though 6 months ago he said he didn't like them!

The P90 epi is probably the only epiphone that I have ever considered buying.

I played a few of these locally. Not bad. They were build well, pretty flawless. I like the LP Ultra better. And that says a lot because I LOVE Goldtops.
