i just bought a g-400 LH and my serieal is 09021501171 where does it come from and when is it made

I found this site for Epi serial numbers, but when I put yours in it says not found. I put the first eight numbers in and it came up made in Korea in February of this year, but I'm pretty sure they stopped making Epi's in Korea about a year and a half ago.

Mm Hmm. That's where they're made now. Let me ask, where did you get this guitar? If you didn't get it from a reputable dealer, it may be an Epiphone fake with a bogus serial number. Can you post a pic of the SN? Maybe someone else will chime in with some info.

I am used to a letter suffix from what I have seen and own, but it appears Epi may have changed to an all numerical serial number format for their Chinese instruments around 2008?

Is it correct when the BCD 4 has 4 digit serial number, its a k98 before 1945. And when its have a 5 digit serial number, the K98 dated from 1945?

It's made in Feb 2009 like someone said before but that's all I know...
