just traded my epi LP custom plus for a used 2002 Gibson SG Special Faded(brown) last week and i don't miss the epi at all. the gibby was much better even with the stock pickups and electronics.
i'd go epiphone. They're probably made using the same methods and materials, and if i was getting a jazz box you'd bet that i'd choose epiphone over gibson any day.
Get the Epiphone Elitist series les paul. They run about $1000.00 for something that you would pay at least 2500.00 for if it said Gibson anywhere other than on the truss rod cover. The Elitist series Epi's are very nice.
DAMN YOU CONFORMISTS!!! :yell: :yell: :yell:
Go to http://www.rondomusic.net/ buy a al3500 in the electric section throw in a custom 5, a pearly gates, a tonepros bridge and an earvana nut huhuhuh whoa im tired all this yelling hurts peace!
Being the owner of both Gibsons and Eppiphones the Gibson line is much better! The cheaper Gibsons are made of better wood and craftsmanship.... The Eppiphones i'm repairing necks on all seem to break at the glue joints.... Glue joints should be stronger then the wood itself!
Epi all the way.. areound here, expencive epis cost as much as cheap Gibsons.. Except for the elitist series, which did cost as much.. But high-end Epis have high quality.. just try the Epi Iommi signature model.
