Epiphone P90 Wiring Question

So I went to re-install the original p90 pikcups in my Epi LP Special last night... and I noticed that there are two wires -- a red wire and a white wire. Do both of these wires get soldered to the pot ? What is the difference between these two wires ?

Er, last time I checked, the Epi LP Spl came with dual humbuckers NOT P90s.

How many wires altogether? Two (red and white) or three (red, white + bare screen/ground)?

If you have a DC resistance meter, take readings between bare and red then bare and white. Whichever gives the higher reading is the "hot" output cable. The other is the coil split.

The Epi LE Special SC came with two P-90s. That's the only one I'm aware of.

Red is the hot, and the white and bare get grounded, i believe.

i yanked out the ones in my '56GT... tho they are very much better than most.
