Epiphone SG?

I always likes an SG but I can't afford a Gibson. Is the Epiphone SG any good? I am not concerned about pickups because that can be changed easy enough ,but the basic guitar, workmanship and materials. Also what Epiphone SG models are the better ones Goth , 400, etc? Thanks lexx9

I havent tried the G400, but I had a G310 as my first guitar.... Lets just say that my first real guitar was my Les Paul.

That G310 was THE suckage.

Don't have much experience with anything but the G400. Solid guitar for the money. The new ones are even better quality wise.

Yeah I wouldn't go less than the 400,a dn search around until you find a good one.

I had a g400 (red) before getting a gibson sg standard. it was awsome and i didnt actually mind the pu's. definitly a good choice, they even have grover tuners now.
