epiphone's new tube amp

Re: epiphone's new tube amp

I paid $400 for a Fender Blues Junior. If I had the chance, I would have saved up $100 more for this amp!

Re: epiphone's new tube amp

yeah i was just looking at the epiphone page for kicks and giggles and it was on the front page so i checked it out. i need something that i can hall around easier than my nomad and for smaller stuff. either that or i want a mondial. they would both be pretty sweet

Re: epiphone's new tube amp

Hmm ... on paper, it looks like a pretty nice amp. Made in China is a big no-no for me, especially for something as essential as an amp. I'm also not too confident in the quality of this thing. Look at those jacks and the switch - maybe it's just me but they kind of give off this cheap-o vibe.

I think one of Traynor's offerings in this range would be a much better amp for the money.

This new China Epi tube amp sounds like crap. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on a Fender, Marshall Mesa Boogie or one of ScottF's amps.

They're not that bad, I've got a 15w valve standard and I get the tones I want out of it, onboard effects are a waste of time but thats not why I bought it. Upgraded the speaker to a Celestion Tube 10 and this made a ton of difference to the clarity.

Its never going to rival a Messa, Marshall, Fender or a Celtic from ScottF but its not exactly in the same price league!
