EQ pedal suggestions

Looking into getting some EQ pedals because I'm finishing up with guitars and pickups so its time to start fine-tuning my tones.

I'm thinking about getting a Dano Fish N Chips for the loop and something a little sturdier like an MXR for out front so I can still stomp on it. The Dano has gotten a lot of good reviews surprisingly and is supposed to be quieter than the lower line Boss EQ. I'd like for my front EQ pedal to be at least 6 bands, be relatively quiet, and be less than 100 dollars. Any suggestions?

The MXR 6 band is great...And that's the only eq pedal i would buy un der 100...
But i have the 10 band version ,and i can only recommend it!

I'm in the process of getting a GE-7, I'm going to mod it myself with a kit from http://www.monteallums.com. If your comfortable with a soldering iron you can make a great sounding pedal for relatively cheap.

Boss GE-7 7 band equalizer. Great pedal and very versatile.

Pick up a modified GE-7 off ebay. With low-noise chips installed and a few filter cap changes, its practically silent. And boss is about as sturdy as you can get. Plus, its a bigger stomping-area, for when you're rockin out on stage and dont have time to measure up to that push-button haha!

My Boss was stock, but I can testify to the sturdiness. Mine received a lot of abuse, even getting the eq sliders bent because I kept stepping on it, and bent the sliders (I drank a lot in those days). It kept working.

GE-7. Modded mine with monte allums mod and now its quieter and more transparent.
