He seems to have his own signature pickups. The community called it the "Trouble" set since they are based off his older sound from the Crystal Vision album but they are only available at certain shops or you can order them directly to the custom shop.

Very unique feeling, very unique tones. Not your typical strat set (doesn't sound or feel like your traditional SRV type set). Way less treble than your typical glassy strat set, bass and mids focused. Feels like it's pretty flat in EQ compared to other strat sets. Smooth sounding and smooth/fat feeling. You can feel the weight of the notes - although I wonder how much of that is due to the Vegatrem bridge.
I've been playing them on a Fender 75th Strat with a vegatrem, hyper-glossed Maple neck, 1958 historical wiring from a vintage strat, Alloy nut, anodized gold pickguard and locking tuners, Silver Slinky strings. All those things probably make a good bit of difference.
I'm glad I got a hold of a set. I haven't taken them out since they've been installed - even though sometimes I want to experiment with another set, they somehow manage to stay in that particular guitar lol
I do recommend them if you are looking for something unique, different or refreshing in the strat sound world.
