ESP LTD Deluxe H-1000

I'm starting to look at this guitar more seriously. It has many of the qualities I was looking for in a custom shop guitar. The mahogany body with flamed maple top design. Even the JB/59 setup. Plus the abalone binding, was something I was wanting to put in the custom shop as well. It carries all the attributes of the custom guitar I wanted.

Plus I can afford it no problem.

So anybody here own this guitar, have any comments to make about it. Personally I'm almost thinking about getting it in black just to try out the EMG 81/85. If I don't like them, of course I always have a set of EMG 81/85 and can order some SD JB/59.

I'm also interested in the MH-1000 looks like a nice axe, pretty much the same thing just a different headstock.

i dont have that one (i have the ec-1000) but i have played that one. guitar guitar. plays very well, great fretboard. sounds very nice as well. i played the one with the duncans, but the playability is the same.

also, i looove mine, great sounding...

Like I said I was looking at the MH-1000's now, which has the reverse headstock and it looks pretty nice as well. I'm looking at one of these models here:

Those are the models I have taken an interest into, except for the LP like designs, I'm going super strat. And I'm trying to avoid the Floyd Roses, but that LTD M-1000FM looks sweet too.

Go for the MH-1000 in black, or the MH-400NT. I hate that sperm squiggle headstock on the H's. I personally prefer hte MH-400NT:

That's pretty hot!

I was looking at the H and MH series before I bought my Schecter. They're essentially the same guitars with the same appointments but with different pickups. I played a few of the 1000 models at my local ESP dealer, very nice guitars. Play just about as well as my C1 Elite. I would have bought the black one, but I got a good deal on the C1 from a friend of mine at GC.

Yeah, they're almost identical, and come from the same factory and company anyways, so...

Definitely check out Schecters, as well.

Schecters are very nice guitars no doubt about that. I've play some sweet Schecters before, I have a bottom of the barrel Omen-6 that I bought a long time ago.

All their high quality LTD models look sexy as hell. I also was turned away by the headstock but I love the Amber body design on it.
