yeah, but you coulda had two $300 cabs! i actually like straight cabs better for whatever reason
I prefer mic'ing up slant cabs, personally. The speakers on the slant part of the cab have less clutter going on in the low mids, usually. You also get less of a hollow phasey sound from standing waves betweent the baffle and the back panel.Great buy. I think a bought a new Carvin MTS3200 cab for that price almost 25 years ago, so given today's prices you definitely got a good deal.
It just needs to be distressed a bit to make me think "Marshall cab."
I prefer the look of straights but I understand why slants are the way they are.
Then I started seeing these newfangled hipsters start turning slants on their side around 2010. Heresy! Those casters on the side could hurt someone.
It made me realize slants as the top of a full stack have been sending sound up above our heads unnecessarily for decades (assuming the audience is below the stage).
Suddenly projecting sound out in a wider field started to make more sense.
This, however, made the classic looking straight seem a bit obsolete, so I had yet another reason to dislike the slant.
Did you figure out what speakers are in it yet?
Turn your cell flashlight on. Stick it up to the grille cloth.
75s have a large dust cap. V30s are smaller dust caps.
I bet it has 75s in it. Does it give you a wattage rating on the back jack?
Lol don't mean to be all pushy but I want to know what you really got there ha ha ha

Wattage is 150
There's a Crate Blue Voodoo 4x12 for sale locally for $150. I certainly do not have a need for a 4x12 but that is a steal. The heads sucked but the cabs were solid.
Get it!!!!!
You don't per chance live in/near Leesburg GA ?
I have zero need for a 4x12.
I find 2x12's slightly darker than 4x12's. Slightly less open in both ends of the spectrum, both lows and highs. Less internal volume tends to do that. When they're built comparably, that is.Unless it's a closed back, I wouldn't do Greenbacks in a 2x12. Too bright.
