Actually, physicaly he doesn't look that bad... and the crazy smile was always there.. that's Ed... The smile did became more crazy then ever...
I sure hope we'd see him coming back for a new rock revolution... He might be the only living musician that can make playing the guitar popular again (the oposite of beating up the expensive guitar daddy bought you and saying you're nu-metal or post punk)
What I don't understand- I thought he quit smoking when he found out he has cancer...

I like that Eddie makes his own stuff, and keeps/tapes-up the stuff he buys and uses it forever.
.......but not when it comes to a 50 year old man wearing clothes in public, even in a progressive state like California.
There are some photos available from this jam (his girlfriend's flower shop) that actually make him look as healthy as he's been in the last 10 years.
Still, grow up bud, and wear a shirt. Try some new shoes too, and some jeans without gaping holes in them.
......and the playing in that particular clip is horrid.

Not just his clothes, but he looks like he has sores and stuff all over him. Rashes on his arms and knees, absesses on his feet...he looks like a falling down drunk transient.

Because he's addicted. Experts say tobaco is more addictive than opiates. I don't smoke (at least not first hand LOL) but people who do, have told me that quiting forever seems almost impossible. The craving never really goes away, even after years, and once they re-start it's stronger.
There's also a culture of smoking and drinking in rock-n-roll. If Ed's going to be active in music, he's going to be exposed, making it that much harder on him.
He might have an addictive personality. Many very creative people do.
I can't get the audio to stream, so I don't know if or how bad it is. Is it what he's playing, how he's playing, or both?

Dude i used to smoke for 6 years and i have quit for around 5 years now. i can tell you that i dont even want to smell it. can stand it. I agree it is totally addictive. but he almost killed himself. what the heck is wrong with him?
