You're absolutely right. I had to look at it really close, but it is. Strange, though, that there's a 5150 amp sitting behind him.

Look under his signature, it has '93 there. He was using the 5150 then too, and was using it for a few years already. He recorded For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge with that amp, which is the era the pic is from (and Live..Right Here, Right Now), and toured with it by then.

:smack: For some reason I always try to lump the Wolfgang and the 5150 into the same contract.

The fact that he's got hair in the picture should have been another clue, too.

I wouldn't call it a problem really, but anyway, your best bet would be to look at the articles at www.reranch.com on refinishing a guitar. You're going to want to get the existing finish off first to really do it properly. kmcguitars layed it out, follow that order for each color. Good luck.

If you don't have an electric sander, you can pick up a can of Citristrip Antique Stripper at Walmart for less than $10. It's safe to use inside (though your house will smell like oranges for a few days) and it was more than enough for one guitar. Just spray it on, let it sit for a while, and scrape or scrub it off. It took a couple of applications, but it saved me a lot of work with a manual sander.

The BEST paint remover is Zip Strip- it comes in a yellow and black can. Try a good paint store. It will remove all paint very quickly. Just be sure to wear heavy gloves, as the stuff really burns.

Don't forget that the clear coat needs to come off first and that can be a PITA.
