Re: evo 2 ?
Yes, I have one in an Ibanez 470: Floyd, maple neck/rosewood board and basswood body.
I think it is an improvement to the original Evolution. It is voiced similarly--spiked a bit in the mid area (which some people find annoying), but tamed back just a bit.
It is still tight, but just a tad more open. The original seemed a little too compressed. The Evo 2's low end seems fuller.
Sustain is excellent, and it is more sensitive to picking (I felt the original Evo was difficult to nuance). It doesn't feel/sound as sterile/cold as the original.
The Dimarzio description is quite accurate. It is a little warmer, less screamy, with a hint of sweetness.
Despite my love for lower output pickups, I am keeping the Evo 2.
