Expert help needed

Okay guys, I need some pros here. (Maybe)

Would it be possible for me to get a Dean 79 ML, Korean made. And somehow get someone to cut a hole in it for an original Floyd?

If so, who could do this crazy job for me?

Thanks in advance guys!

Re: Expert help needed

Just as long as the body is thick enough to accommodate the floyd, It can be done. Depending on who does it though, It could (possibly) turn out ugly as hell, and any way ya roll it its gonna be waayyyyyyy expensive.

If ya really want a floyd...I'd say it'd be wiser to find another axe that comes with one stock. Speaking from personal experience, modding a guitar for a floyd tends to be more money/work than its worth.

Thing is, the shape I'm after is an ML. But they all come with damned licensed floyds.

I'm picky about my floyds, and I just wanted to know details on this.

Anyone done this procedure before? :chairfall

Re: Expert help needed

so get that guitar and then buy an OFR... its better and easier that way...
do mess up the guitar you like when you can get another one with the specs you want

Re: Expert help needed

You can actually get a guitar with a floyd in it already and replace it? Hmm.

Get one with it
Get one with Licensed and Swap
Find a used one that is already done - and play it!

There a lot easier ways.....and cheaper!
