External cab with combo amp

Hey guys I have an Egnater Tourmaster 4212 100 watts. On the back of my amp I have it set at 8 ohmz
For the 2 speakers in the amp ( Manual says to set it that way) I now have a 4x12 8ohm cabinet that I want to run. Can I run both the external cab an speakers in the amp? If so what should the ohmz be set at? Cause I have the option of 4- 8 or 16.Does running 2 speakers off one side of the amp while running 4 off the other side hurt it?

Re: External cab with combo amp

For parallel connections and each set of speakers being 8 ohms ea. set the amp to 4 ohms. It's designed to accommodate that configuration.
It doesn't matter how many speakers there are, but rather what the impedance of the 'group' is.

They aren't I've been running them through the efforts loop but I have to say it sounds amazing between my amp speakers and the Marshall cab! The cab speakers are a little brighter than the amp speakers but together its perfect! Thanks for your help guys!
