Re: F Spaced or Regular for placing in a slanted bridge position with a floyd rose?
It definitely creates a different sound, with the slug over the high E and screw over the low E and the fact that the other strings are between the poles, not over them. That might be a good way to reduce string-pull, hence the increase in sustain and other tonal elements. It's fair to say, a Trembucker with everything lined up right, will have a different presence and tonal balance than the exact same wind/magnet slanted.
An "F-spaced" DiMarzio however, still doesn't perfectly align with a Floyd, so you can slant one of those too. I've considered using my Super Distortion with an A2 mag on a "bumblebee" replica and slanting it slightly.
