Facelift

Can the AIC Facelift tones be done without the Bogner Fish Pre Amp?
Using a Jub 2555.

In short, not really...Those tones are really more than just the FISH but that is the main part. You can get kind of close with other amps (I wouldn't put a Jub on that list...) but not all the way...

i was getting pretty close to AIC tones with a metal muff into a dr.z. one of my favorite songs to play off of the facelift cd is it aint like that. i just picked up a bogner alchemist and with a clean boost i can almost nail that tone and the tone from what the hell have i and rain when i die. which are 2 more of their songs i really like.

I love that album! My band does "We Die Young" "Man In The Box" and "It Ain't Like That"
I get pretty close to those tones with my Bogner Ecstasy........Blue channel, gain at about 2 oclock, Maxon OD808 (bought from Man-in-moon!) set for clean boost.....

Hey metlking. How do you like those Ecstacy's? I heard they have a great clean channel.
Can you get Marshall tone out of em'?

The clean channel IS really nice! I've heard the distortion refered to as "Marshall". I think it is more Marshall than Mesa or Fender but kinda has it's own thing going on.........It's more liquid than any Marshall I've ever played.
