fake or genuine sh1 neck

Re: fake or genuine sh1 neck

That has gotta come from the Cort factory in Indonesia, surplus pickups sold (possibly illegitimately) by the factory workers (as opposed to ordered from Seymour Duncan company). They are genuine. All of my 59 have 4 conductors.

probably.they send it to me in small plastic bag that has written the model and i saw word "factory" written there..i was quiet suprise usually it came with a case right?

They didn't have no case cause they were in bulk, supposed to go as stock pickups installed in the guitars made in the factory. The pickups only come in a case when they are sold as 'aftermarket' products. Yours as I have said previously, are probably surpluses from Cort factory, so they are not supposed to come in a case.

Re: fake or genuine sh1 neck

50$ a pickup is usually what I buy them for myself.. some people don't think pickups will sell for very much and get what they can which has made me all kinds of money because I buy and sell. With import knock offs I've seen epiphone knock offs but never seymour duncan. The import ones are based off of the JB and 59 on ebay , played a legitimate JB a few weeks ago and it was pretty much the same thing coming from a guy who can tell the difference between capacitors and string brands.

also on 4 wire conductor pickups they have this light blue stuff inside the pickups wires .. no idea how to describe it.

Re: fake or genuine sh1 neck

GUYS I HAVE SOME CODE ON THE PACKAGING IT SAY "OEMSH4BK" on the JB and "OEMSH1NCR" ON THE 59'..DOES THIS MEAN ANYTHING?

Re: fake or genuine sh1 neck

I guess OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. SH4BK would mean JB BLACK, and SH1 N 59 neck. You got yourself real Seymour Duncan pickups.

Yes stop worrying that they are real Seymour Duncans. They ARE REAL. But everything people have said is true. They were sold and shipped to a guitar factory, and either the guitar factory sold them or they were stolen, then sold. It doesn't make the pickup any better or worse. Just that it is not packaged for retail sale.

Like I have told before, they are REAL and are made to go with guitars made in Cort or Samick factory in Indonesia. The OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) corroborates my point.

Which is why Scott Olson is interested in how OEM pickups have ended up available for sale at a music store.
