That P90 PRS is one beautiful axe! Tell me what model it is, because you just gave me GAS, Baby! :D
Thanks! It's a Soapbar II:

It's a truly amazing guitar and they are inexpensive - mine was £349!!

Check it out:

http://prsguitars.com/showcase/current/sesoapbar2info.html

The quality of the mahogany is as good as you'll get at anything like the price, and you get all the PRS niceties: the stoptail, the wide-fat neck, comfy frets, 25" scale etc etc. I haven't got anything bad to say about it! (Except that they aren't very photogenic - they look 100 x better in the flesh.)

Jerk! :grumble:

Jus kiddin Bro...AWESOME collection :bigthumb: ..I'd love to have a couple those...that one with the Kahler for some reason is screaming out to me. I've been having mild GAS for a Kahler lately as I like havinga trem guitar but not a fan of Floyds, and I just can't get used to Strats/PRS.

Thanks for posting these Jeff!

Surprised you haven't searched out an original Destroyer (lawsuit) model.

Jeff - Is the purple Gibson the '56? Who the hell made it look like Barney?!? :nervous: Did it come like that or was it a refin?

You aren't the frist person to ask this, so I will explain why it's "purple"...
Somebody routed this guitar with a hammer and chisel for a second PU and the switch very "poorly". So I had to fill in the routes.......

I work at a guitar repair shop.
My lead singer plays it when we gig.
My lead singer is female.
My lead singer's favorite color is purple.
I had to repaint it anyway.
My lead singer is female.
What she wants, she gets!!
Because,my lead singer is female!

End of discussion....:)

LOL

Yeah, well...when you explain it that way...

LMAO

It sorta reminds me of the '86 Melody Maker I'm refinishing right now. I found that one about a year & change ago and the poor thing had just been abused and beat around like a red-headed step child at some point in it's life...it was missing a tuner and to say it was 'slightly' beat would be an understatement!

Right now I've got about 85% of the old finish stripped off. I was thinking that I'd redo it in heritage cherry but the body is just too beat around the edges...TOTALLY reliced! Right now my plan is to stain it in some sort of brown or natural color and then hit it with a semi-gloss clear so it looks sort of "right".

Thankfully the neck and it's finish are totally intact and the original 'bucker (sounds damn good!) is there, but the loose-o-matic & stop tailpiece were lost and replaced with pot-metal junk. So when this thing gets back together I'm probably going to do a Tone-Pros setup.

But that purple has me thinking...

Re: "family pics".....

For that black LP JR try Minwax stain prep and then put on some mahogany red stain about three coats and then get some garnet shellac from rockler 3 coats then cover with lacquer. The shellac traps light well and it would look very deep and rich.

Looks like a cool project.:bigthumb: You could do it in a Burst to hide the ugly on the edges. :D

Re: "family pics".....

Jeff, you really should look into getting a Destroyer. They're pretty nice guitars - I think you'd like 'em.

:laugh2:

Nice collection.
