Favorite All In One Pedal?

Diminished Triad

If you were going to use one to cover all possible needs, what would you prefer and choose as your one single pedal/pedal board on stage? Which all in one pedal currently stands out?

Re: Favorite All In One Pedal?

I cannot think of any all-in-one multi-effect processor for guitar or bass that covers "all possible needs" in the manner that I would wish them covered.

Some of my favourite effects are entirely digital. Some are so analogue that they use a valve to rectify the power supply. My preferred wah pedals employ photo-electrics. Nobody short of Roger Meyer, Pete Cornish or Bob Bradshaw is likely to combine all of these different elements into a single box.

I'm still a fan of whatever the latest Boss offering is in this category…

GT100?

Re: Favorite All In One Pedal?

I haven't played the latest all-in-ones to say for sure, but the last generation still left something to be desired from a gain/clipping standpoint. I've gotten to the point that the modulation is quite good, I could probably be very happy with a Timeline (currently own), Möbius and Big Sky, but when it comes down to it I still love twiddling knobs. I use the El Capistan and Belle Epoch much more than the Timeline, simply because of how dead simple it is to mess with settings on the fly. The big Strymons are still quite user friendly from a "programming" and "patch modification" standpoint.... I could never get along with the H9...

Re: Favorite All In One Pedal?

I could use my POD HD400 pretty reasonably by itself, but I prefer to add other pedals to it.

My brother has one. He rather likes solid state and digital amplification and effects.

The GT-100 is highly programmable. I managed to extract some Fripp and Belew type sounds. I still would not elect to perform live through one rather than a valve amp and the odd pedal.

Re: Favorite All In One Pedal?

I don't think I've played through any of the current-generation all-in-ones. I'd like to hear how some of them sound.

Re: Favorite All In One Pedal?

If you're referring to multi-fx pedals, I've not found any that satisfy nearly as much as a pedal board of individual effects. JMO

Re: Favorite All In One Pedal?

I'm not seeing the FlyRig appeal. It's got a delay, a SanSamp, and then a Plexi model? No chorus, flange, reverb, phase, fuzz, wah, octave, or pitch shifting? And it's not programmable?

I'm currently still experimenting with the Line6 M13, though my rack stuff still has a certain charm. Caught myself scanning Ebay moments ago for the old Digitech RP10 and RP20 units, which were the Legend and 2101 in a floor unit with a treadle.

Would like to try the BOSS rack with all the pedals and the ability to arrange them in any order. Might put that on my short list.

Would you recommend the Line 6 ?
