Favorite clean humbucker?

Bridge - Black Winter (and no...I'm not kidding.)

How would you describe it? The youtube clean clips are all pretty terrible demos. I couldn't tell if it was the pickup that sounded somber, or the playing.

See my post in the BW feedback thread started by Dark Order Lord. It's way in there somewhere, I posted a clip of the BW split. It sounds really great clean IMO.

I also posted a clip in the other section for a more rock tone.

Re: Favorite clean humbucker?

Depends what type of cleans im playing. Not always but as a starting point I like the 59n for bluesy and jazzier stuff, the jazz neck for upbeat ska, the invader bridge for punky clean octaves and less dynamic modern rock cleans, Tv Jones classic plus bridge for rock n roll-ey surfy stuff etc etc I use a lot of p90's and single coils too for other stuff like reggae and funky stuff etc. I could probably do it all with a neck 59 or jazz but variety is the spice of life and certain songs/genres sometimes call for a certain sound.

Howdy,

Air Classics.

They are very nice, I have a set of those in an FMT HH Tele. I posted on here a few days ago showing how much wax was inside when I replaced the nickel cover - quite a lot. They definitely seem to be on the lower output side of PAF.
