Re: Favorite "Shred" guitar brand?

EBMM - without a doubt. Fastest and smoothest necks I have ever felt.

+1000. Owning an Ibanez, Jackson SL-1, and EBMM Axis, the EBMM has the best neck, action, and pinch harmonics.

For pure metal the Jackson has the best clear tone, but playing wise can't compare to the EBMM Axis. The Axis play like Buttuh

Re: Favorite "Shred" guitar brand?

I feel that there are probably better shred guitars out there, but I chose Jackson simply cuz I play them. I don't feel Jackson's are shred guitar's more than they are badarse, confident, and "I-can-see-myself-in-your-pants" guitars. But, they definitely can produce their fair share o' speed too.

Re: Favorite "Shred" guitar brand?

my ibanez ic-400. to me its the best neck ever, and my most confortable guitar by far... and it actually might be a lp 60's neck

Re: Favorite "Shred" guitar brand?

regarding this shredder thread, im against wammy bars. but all these companies make the tremolo bar guitars so Im doomed!! just thought I'd add that.

Re: Favorite "Shred" guitar brand?

I'm not a shredder but 8 times out of 10, if you see a pro shredder, he's wielding an Ibanez. Vai, Satch, the list goes on and on.

Re: Favorite "Shred" guitar brand?

ibanez necks piss me off. that and i feel the guitars dont have much character

jackson for me! i love the crimson swirl finish on rhodes v's!

Re: Favorite "Shred" guitar brand?

My favorites are home-made Franken Strats, can't say I like any of the brands there... can't remember the last time I've been in a store and asked to play one...
