:fing25: well lol... there have been a few interviews with Dime that say he used a pup called the XXL-500, but I dont know who made it.... anyway he used that up until or not long before the Reinventing the Steel album... of course I could be wrong about the time, but I'm pretty sure I'm right about the pup. And I know he was sent a few test models of the Dimebucker to test on tour, and he compared those to the XXL-500 that had his sound.

True, until up around "steel" he used Bill lawrences, L-500XL and later XXL-500. He also used Dean ML´s ath the time, which do sound a bit different from his Wahsburns

The "discussion" point i mentioned because since he´s had the SD he hasn´t said a thing about his Pickups that I can remember, and everyone keeps quoting interviews from ´96 and stuff as "proof" that he doesn´t use it, which of course defies any logic

according to all the info i have seen RR's used a duncan jazz along with the DD and the flying V polka dot had a super distoriton and a dimarzio PAF.

yeah dime used to use a BL XL-500 in his deans but wanted a duncan and now uses a dimebucker in all his washburns
