Fender '51 P-Bass pickup replacement !?

I have a beautifull Japanese-made Fender 51 p-bass that plays like a dream and looks like a million bucks but I need a new pickup soon.
I was playing the other day and the pickup just suddenly un-wounded in a metal-wire explosion !! Whaaaaaaaat ?! After an hour or so of constant swearing, panicking, freaking out loud I took the dead remains out and quickly replaced it with the best thing I had on hand, an old Custom shop Telecaster neck pickup…. does the trick if you're in a hurry , sounds pretty good too, surprisingly, but I need something bore serious ! Anyone has experienced any SD replacement pickups for the '51 ?

Seymour has a bunch of options for the 51 single coil pickup bass. Just take a look at the website under "Pickups - Bass - P-Bass - Passive". I doubt any one of them would disappoint you.

Custom shop '51 Stack, methinks.

Thing I can't un-see: a NY music store, a vintage P hanging on the wall... with a J pickup brutally chiseled into place.
*cringe*

Thanks to Mr. D, there are some replacements for the original P single coil.

Antiquity (hand wound replica of the original, with braided cloth wire insulation, waxed string overwind for bobbin protection, etc)
Antiquity II (slightly hotter, with Alnico V mags)
Basslines SCPB-1 ("vintage" production model tribute to the original)
Basslines SCPB-2 (more coil winding, for hotter output)
Basslines SCPB-3 (Quarter Pound, even more aggressive)

This is also in addition to some worthy contenders from Lindy Fralin, Rio Grande, and others.
