Fender '82-86 Super Champ - alternative loudspeakers

The original Fender Super Champ was offered with a 10" Fender Special Design [read: Eminence] loudspeaker or an optional Electro-Voice at an up-charge. Opinions vary on which gives superior results.

Has anyone had good results in this amplifier using any alternative 10" 'speakers? If so, what make/model(s) did you try? How did things sound after the change?

Whilst the amplifier's cosmetics ape the "blackface" era, I have no objection to loudspeakers that give "tweed" or "brownface" era results.

I had one with the EV. FABULOUS!!!!

I put a jack in mine, and occasionally ran it with a 412. :D

I've had good luck with Warehouse Guitar Speakers. I haven't had a chance to try their 10 inch speakers, but they do make four of them, and I have heard really good results from them. They even have a few videos with demos.
