I have a 2017 Fender Classic Player Baja '60s Telecaster . Specs. indicate a American Vintage '58 single-coil Telecaster bridge, and an American Vintage '52 single-coil Telecaster neck pickup. I was told that the '58 was the same pickup used on the American Vintage Telecaster series guitars, and that the '52 is "essentially" the same pickup used on the '52 Telecaster reissue, but with an additional ground wire off the chrome cover to reduce noise.
There is "Original" pickups, and "Pure Vintage" pickups. What's the difference, and which of these is the neck pickup, and which of these is the bridge pickup on the 2017 Baja '60s guitar?
Also, are the pickups on the 2017 model the same as the pickups that came installed on the Baja '60s when they were first released, I believe in 2014?
Thank you
