Im new to the forum so hello everyone but il crack on with my question :) . A friend of mine recently bought a Fender Blackout telecaster and it has a Reverse polarity Seymour duncan 59 and a Pearly gates plus. what are these pickups like compared to the retail pickups of seymour duncan? and will they be of high enough output and the right sound for really heavy rock/metal music? (i havent played it or heard it personally yet)

Thanks

Ryan

I believe that those pick-ups are just like they would be if you ordered them from Seymour.
I've played that gutiar before... the '59 reverse polarity isn't much of a hard rockin' pick-up... For a more rock sound I would reccomend using a JB or distortion instead.
Rock On :smoker:

I, too, have not been impressed with the reverse polarity, but with enough gain at the amp, they sound okay.

I ahd a PG+ in my old Strat. I wasn't really down with the tone, to bitey and shrill. If you want something that rocks in the bridge, a JB, Distortion, or Demon would fit the bill.
