Sadly I've never heard of these before, but Fender is re-releasing them and it sounds like it might be pretty kool.

Can someone with more knowledge and/or expereince fill me in with what you think about 'em?

Re: Fender Blender

I'm not positive, but I think Michael Alsup used a Fender Blender on the early Three Dog Night albums. It sure looks like one on the cover of their 1st album, Naturally. He used it straight into a clean, solid-state Leslie. It's a great, very ah... original sound; like a swarm of angry bees in a blender.

If I wasn't trying to keep from using so many pedals I would seriously consider picking one up...

I'll see if I can play one at a guitar shop before i buy anything.

Re: Fender Blender

Hey bro...Listen to Bullet with Butterfly wings...the insane fuzzy thing towards the end is a Fender Blender. As much as I hate both Billy Corgan AND the pumpkins that is a pretty good example...mpst iof the other examples I suspect you would not have in your record (CD) collection...

Fender bvlenders are very cool IF you want to use it once or twice...I could not imagine someone using it as a main tone or even more that once a month, but they are cool, and if they didn't go for 400-500 bones I woudl already have one!

I might look into a reissue, but it better boo damn good!

Re: Fender Blender

hmm Smashing Pumpkins aren't in my CD collection at all, but that's ok, I think I'm just gonna try and keep myself from buying this puppy...

I'll still probably give it a try if we get it in at the local music shop.

Anybody have any personal experience with one?
