Re: fender blues to marshall grind
I was thinking a stock DSL50 would be a good possibility. I remember walking into Guitar Center and hearing this fantastic bluesy tone. It was a guy playing a DSL50 on the clean channel with a nice strat into a 1960 Cab (I think that's the model). With the right guitar and cab, for me, the DSL50 is hard to beat. It ginds for days, too. The only drawback for me is the cheap switches and jacks.
But the Rivera Knucklehead is a sweet amp, too. I only played on once, but that was enough to know it's a good amp. It seemed easy to dial in a good sound, was easy to play with and had lots of sweet spots.
