Fender Champion 40

Bought a Fender Champion 40 ss amp. Cheap, certainly not a tube amp but can get close to tube tones on some settings for sure. Really loud. For the price great deal. I made sure I got the footswitch for it. It has its limitations like only Treble, Bass for eq(no midrange) and on some amp models the volume changes. Fun to play around with though especially since I play mainly Classic Rock and blues. Fender tones are spot on. British and metal tones are ok. Use it with a Blacktop Strat(humbuckers). Fun to play around with all the sounds and effects and it's nice not to have to deal with a bunch of pedals. If on a budget worth considering.

Re: Fender Champion 40

i have the 20W Champion and for a practice/late night amp it's working well!
I like the tweed champ and BF princeton settings best on mine, and the third "british" voicing suits me pretty well.
FX are OK and I mostly stick to the spring reverb or slapback delay.

Not the best take on "tube dynamics" out there but it does clean up some with the volume knob on the guitar, and it can take a good bit of level boost from OD pedals.

Absolutely worth the $99 bucks I spent.

Yep, I've played 20 also. I wanted the 40 in case of jam sessions and maybe a small gig. 12 inch speaker is nice. 20 is a cool practice amp.
