Just curious, since you have a set of these...

How does one tell them apart from 57/62's? I've got a set of what I have thought were 57/62's for years, but when I was rifling through some old boxes, I found an original Fender box for '54's, empty. Now I am wondering if the pickups I thought of as 57/62's all those years are actually CS '54's, or if those '54's ended up being sold on some guitar, and the ones I have actually are 57/62's. The CS sticker wouldn't be reliable, as I likely would have pulled it off first thing (or maybe there were no stickers used back when I bought the set). The resistances are 6.02, 6.14, and 6.50.

good question
i think the best way (other than original boxing) is to check resistance
57/62 should all be about 5.6

i think you have 54s
i will measure mine tonight
they sound great btw, i just don't need stagger in my compound radius neck

The more I think about it, and especially now, looking at those numbers, the more I think that my pickups are '54's.

Great pickups. They've outlasted many of my guitars.
