Anybody tried this? I am curious about the different sounds of the pickup in the three modes. I know SD has his own signature axe, so I guess it is good.

you can set the switch so it taps the pickup at a lower output, have fixed capacitors to give you an instant tone setting that you like, etc.

the switch gives more bass in one postiion, more trebble in a nother and I think the last postion puts the pickup in parralel.

all the way foward puts a cap in the signal, like a preset tone knob setting, middle is standard, both the tone & volume are connected, all the way back the tone controll is disconnected

but you can do any number of things with the 3-way. Stock it seems fine, you may have to mess with the value on that cap but other than that...

that said, can't we use a 5-way switch and add all sorts of cap values for more tonal options?
