Fender Introduces the New Hybrid: Acoustasonic Player Telecaster

Has anyone played one of these yet? I love them in theory I just haven't seen one in the wild. How hard can you push these with gain?

Sure and any Fishman equipped guitar can also.

Fun guitars, sort of like the Taylor T5 but with a better balance. They are true hybrids- they don't sound particularly acoustic or electric...somewhere in between. If you are after 'different' acoustic and electric sounds, it can be cool. Super easy to play, but again, you sort of have to throw out the idea of what an amplified acoustic sounds like. I think the Variax guitars did this better.

My Yamaha Silent Guitar is similar, but lacks the humbucking pickup.

Sure and any Fishman equipped guitar can also.

I have a Fishman system in an Epi Alleykat. It sounds nice through a stereo acoustic/electric rig.

I was under the impression that the Acoustasonics did something as far as filters/modeling which is why I mentioned the Variax.
