Fender Kurt Cobain Mustang wiring questions

Hello! I'm Adam, and am new, so greetings to all of you!

The questions I have about the Kurt Cobain Fender Mustang focuses on the JB humbucker.
I am having trouble finding out how to correctly wire this to the three way switch.
As I'm sure you know, there is one near the neck and one closer to the bridge, the latter of which is the issue.
I have attached a picture of how it looks now.

The green and black wires from the JB came soldered together.
The bare wire is unattached as is the red wire. I am unsure that the white wire is in the correct place, I'm almost certain it is not.
If you can help at all, it will be very appreciated.

Re: Fender Kurt Cobain Mustang wiring questions

Welcome to the forum.

Your assumptions are correct. The white SD conductor wire is connected correctly.

Visualise the switch terminals as follows;

A1 B1
A2 B2
A3 B3
A4 B4

Bare SD wire grounded to B1, along with the two black wires.
Red SD conductor to terminal B1 (repeat, B1).
White SD conductor to A2/A3.
Black/green SD conductors to B2/B3.

This way, the Bridge pickup's slider switch offers HB/Off/Split.

Phase Reversal is handled entirely by the neck pickup's slider switch.

Re: Fender Kurt Cobain Mustang wiring questions

Thank you much, just a double check here.
The only soldering I have to do (based on what is already done in the picture) is the bare and red to B1 and the black&green to B2/B3.

Thanks again.

Re: Fender Kurt Cobain Mustang wiring questions

Affirmative.

Bridge pickup slider switch towards the neck gives coil split. Centre is off. Slid towards the bridge gives full HB
