Fender Lite Ash Strat - PICKUPS?? WHICH ARE THEY?

This is the Lite Ash guitar they make that is made in Korea but seems to be of great quality with a Birdseye Maple Neck!
I think they are the Alnico ones, but man do these sound great!
Do they sound that good in all strats or just in Ash?
Would they sound that good in Poplar?
What would you guys recommend for Poplar????

Yea the local shop here has one and i love playing on it. Just wish the heel wasnt so huge.
