Purchased from the original owner, this 1962 Fender Stratocaster is about as good as it gets.
"Slab" Brazilian rosewood fretboard with original frets in nearly perfect condition. Original finish in excellent condition with vibrant red in the 3-color sunburst. Original mint green guard in perfect condition, all electronics and hardware unmolested.
All pots dates 43rd week of 1961. SN falls in late '61 range. Neck dates 1-62, making this one of the first Fenders to leave the factory in 1962.
*Includes original hang tags, bridge cover, trem arm, strap and other case candy, and comes with tthe original brown hard shell case in excellent condition.
The original owner of this guitar played it as a teen ager for one year in 1962. As a result, there is one small 1/4 in chip where the neck meets the body on bass side, and part of the spaghetti style logo was scratched off.
A stunning, all original slab board Strat - a remarkable find in this condition.
