Fender Mustang setup question

Just got a 64 Stang. Anyone know how to adjust the string height? Do I need an allen wrench? For the life of me, I can't figure it out! :smack: :smoker:

Take the strings off, and remove the bridge. You have to turn the screws with your fingers, and guesstimate where they should be set. Put the bridge back in, put the strings back on, and see how close you got it.

That's what I'm going to do. I found another site that said you have to use a .050 allen wrench in them teeny little holes then search around for the screw, but I don't have one that small. :smoker:

Everything I've ever heard says the strings come off. That rediculous bridge is a big part of why I got rid of mine

I loosened the strings, pulled off the bridge and sure enough, it has two set screws that a REAL tiny allen wrench fits into. :saeek:

Can you move them with your fingers? I adjusted mine many times like that.

Oh Yeah--that's how I adjusted it but to really fine tune it without wanting to HURL IT THROUGH A WINDOW you need that allen wrench!
