fender reissue tweed deluxe

Re: fender reissue tweed deluxe

Better yet, Scott of Celtic Amps has a 6V6 Aislinn in stock for $800 (as of 12/31/06).

I can't see paying an extra $1,300 just for the Fender logo.

YMMV

. . . hey, i wanted to say that !!! :smokin:

Fender IS loosing out !

Why the hell would i want a Ri from them, it i can get a Laq. Tweed, hand made, by a real man, with PTP electrics and a kick-arse speaker, from Scott -it is indeed, like you guys said :

. . . much too little, wayyy to late !!!

$2200.00-$2500.00 for a Fender name, ermmmm

Re: fender reissue tweed deluxe

IMHO, this new Tweed Deluxe reissue is way overpriced and a ripoff. I recommened having ScottF build you one for less than half the price.

Re: fender reissue tweed deluxe

Uh, thanks to all, but there are also about 5-10 other builders that can and will supply 5E3's for about what I make them for as well.

As a Forum Member, I recommend your 5E3 over the other ones, because you build them just as good or better.:smoker:

I am sure price wise they can, but in looking at your product online it looks to me like they would be hard pressed to put in more care and attention than you obviously put into it.

Re: fender reissue tweed deluxe

I asked the local "cool" music store here in town about this and they tell me the wholesale cost of the 57 Deluxe is around <$1200.00 plus shipping ...
MAP (minimum advertised pricing) is around $1650.00.
Actual selling price is what ever they want to sell it for, but assuming they will want to make a couple dollars and stay in business, I doubt you'll find many for less then $1450-$1500 for quite awhile... that is until Guitar Center figures out they can't move them for more then the $1200 they paid and have to dump them on the market in clearance sale.
Regardless, I ordered 25 more 5E3 cabinets last week and told them I'd quit selling finished 5E3 amps to the general public and sell them the Mission Tweedy 'D' 5E3 with a reissue P12Q, the proper 12AY7 preamp tube and a real NOS Sylvania 5Y3GT for $890.00 delivered and a local repair warranty that Fender can't touch.
Guess who is going to be stuck with a load of brand new Fender made reissue 57 Deluxe amps?
This out to be good for the tweed amp builders out there who can actually build a well made 5e3 product.
