Fender stamped metal bridge saddles are Crap=O=la

what do you notice for a difference?
More brilliance tone wise and sustain/sustain/sustain.
Not to mention ease & precise saddle height adjustment down to the millimeter.
Uniform string height.
Because the old saddle allen pegs were ground off crooked and not flat it was a crappy vibe transfer and could not adjust worth af.

very nice. whered ya get em? i looked back but didnt see anything, totally coulda missed it. i got a bridge that needs new saddles

I had a guitar with bent "vintage" saddles; replaced them with solid "block" saddles. But the guitar didn't sound the same way; and also the strings would bend differently. :o

took alot of the "strattiness" out of it IMO.

I had a lot of problems with rusty strat saddles (not my sweat, I bought these guitars used). I cleaned the saddles and bought new stainless steel insert screws.
I also once bought brass block saddles, but I did not like the tone with single coil pickups (was quite acceptable with humbucker though). I tried also steel block saddles and they were quite good and straty sounding.
My 0.02 ct
@blille: thank you for the Highwood hint. Looks like they will be in my next strat.

Those looks nice. And they actually look really good on that Strat. They blend in really well.

I've been somewhat curious about the Highwood Contoured Vintage Saddles that StewMac has. Still bent saddles but designed that the adjustment screws don't stick out. I've gone through a few sets of block saddles before with less than pleasing results so that has kept me with the bent saddles. It's the sound I like.

So played thru the Rockman X-100 this morn. Very happy and amazed. Palm mutes are super tight & crunchy whereas before not even close.
String bends/action/note separation very articulate. She finally sounds like the guitar i was hoping for.
Bridges are vital to a guitar in many ways.
There is no issue with allen heads sticking up either.

This is what i was dealing with before. Ive had other Fender Strats but none with saddles this bad and i didn't even know grinding the allen pegs was even a thing.
This isn't an indictment on all Fender bridge saddles but the Brass upgrades are so much nicer its a no brainer.

I had no good experience with those black insert screws. They rust like hell with sweat. I prefer stainless steel ones.
