Fender Strat Standard Or Deluxe?!

Hi guys,
I'm watching some guitars HSS Models to buy one of it...
What's the difference between the Standard and Deluxe Model (American & American)?
The price for sure! The pickups... and then???
They have the same S1 system...
It' cheap to spend 350 EUR (about 505 USD) more for a Deluxe model if I will change the pickups with two texas special and a super distortion???
I will change then the bridge with a floyd rose pro, the pickguard and strings... Can I save 500 USD and take the standard hss?

if you are going to add a Floyd and change the pickups you might as well use a USA Standard... The Deluxes have different inlays and finnishes and a few models have different neck shapes...

i still can't see cutting up a USA strat for a floyd anymore but what the hell....

If you want a Floyd, then try and snag a used Floyd strat.

The fender's tremolo are good like the floyd rose?
I mustn't chage it?

The Floyd is a locking trem, and will not fit the stand post that come on the standard. You would have to drill new mounting holes.

The Fender trem is just fine, but if you want a Floyd, then get a Floyd strat.

Fender USED to make Floyd Rose guitars.

See if you can find one of those and if you like it get that.

Otherwise and since you'll be changing the pickups I say play both, see if you can tell a difference on the neck and if not buy the American Standard.

if you want a better guitar that Femder strat with Floyd Rose and in the same price range, Jackson can't be beaten!

I like the fender strat... I give up the floyd rose for my first one...
If I'll buy another one (an American Standard 1335 USD) I'll send It in a exellent lutist and put the floyd rose on with the rails pickups ...

I confirm my final choses:
Fender Strat Usa HSS marple sunburst with two texas and a super distortion, white pearl pickguard... ernie ball string 9-42... multieffect rocktron prophesy II

Last question... what's the name of the thing in the head of the fingerboard on adrian smith's guitar? you can see it in the beginning of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1b86xGtrMM , put it in pause at the 00.00 time!

It's a locking nut, it pairs with the Floyd Rose (which is called a "double locking" bridge). You don't need it (nor want it) on it's own.

If you HAVE to have a double-locking tremolo without drilling/routing your Strat then there is the SuperVee but it's expensive...

I bought an american standard and upgraded it with surfers and a jb and my brother bought a MIM standard strat and upgraded it with ssl-1s and a mini jb. he spent around 500 bucks less then me and his sounds and plays just as good.

I already wrote my final decisions in this thread...
I have to work hard for reach the dave murray's level, and these guitars (first fender and the yamaha, forget the second fender at the moment) are pretty cool for this work!
When I've done this work I will buy another guitar with the last configuration of dave... At the same time I will set apart the money so when I'll reach the murray's level I will have the money for buy a new guitar, new amp and a new car
