Fender Super Champ X2...............................................

I own a Fender Super Champ X2 head that provides an excellent clean (channel 1) Blackface tone that easily accepts OD/Distortion pedals. I am not entirely happy with channel 2 amp modeling, maybe with more tweaking. I connect to a a 15 inch speaker cab that I converted to a 12 inch by creating a custom brass tone ring/adapter. For now, I am using a 12 inch 8 ohm Peavey Black Widow speaker. Sounds huge for a 15 watt amp. I switched the 6V6s for a pair of NOS 5881s for more headroom.

I have the amp, aside from upgrading the speaker, there's nothing really more you can do , other than using some god dirt pedals

NOS tubes and variations work well.
