Figured hardwoods...

I'm curious to find out: what is your favorite figured hardwood? I'm looking to build some speaker cabinets, and I'm open for some suggestions. Although I do have some ideas in mind. Lets hear your thoughts... (thanks)

Fiddle back and burled Maple, Fiddle Back sycamore, Koa, Figured Black Walnut is spectacular, Eucalyptus, Figured Redwood, Sapele Mahogany, peanut shell grain Ash (tamo)

there's lot's more but there's issues such as hardness (I'm still unsure how strong Sycamore and Redwood are)

nothing looks better to me than a real big flame in maple...not the tight little ones...something like this...

Maple is still prolly my favorite. Not on the cheap, though.
