The dream 90s would be cool but at the same time I would love some nice j-master pickups. The J-master pickups might be wound a little bit hotter

The famed Daphne Blue with black blocks

or

Black.....it's like against my religion of dangly-theism. :laugh2: BUUUUUUT, I'll make an exception this time cause I think it looks freakin amazing. I can't decide between some dream 90s or some j-master pickups.

Electronics
--------------------------------------------------------------
2- black GFS mean 90's
1- Big D varitone
1- 50k roller pot for
1- 1M tone roller pot
1- 250K pot
2- .044 Hovland Musicap caps
1- Switchcraft jack
1- CRL 3-way switch
no slide switch

All of the electronics, minus the varitones, the roller pots and the pickups, will be from Bada Bing!'s store. I gotta support the local forum brothas! :6:

Neck - too expensive. :chairfall
--------------------------------------------------------------
CBS 24.75" or 25.5"
Satin finish
6230 frets
Grover Rotomatic tuners
1 - 5/8 nut
9.5" radius
medium C profile
black blocks
black binding

I'm thinking Musikraft is where it's at. I e-mailed about the binding/blocks. It's Saturday so chances are I won't get an answer untill monday

Asthetics/Bridge/Everything Else
-------------------------------------------------------------
2 mustang knobs
2 roller knobs
J-master trem
J-master bridge
Reranch if Daphne blue
Krylon if black

I think that's it. If you think the electronics aren't a good idea then say something! I'm a little bit border line on the electronics

Re: *Final* list

i voted blue - but i wouldnt want either guitar as neither appeals to me .. i voted blue cus if you are gonna go fugly, might as well go all the way

Re: *Final* list

I hate most matched headstocks and block inlays on Fender type guitars are also not my taste.

I say neither.

Re: *Final* list

You could try www.musikraft.com for the neck, I've ordered a neck that I'm waiting on, They actually have a Jazzmaster Headstock shape modeled after the '64 Jazzmaster (that's the one I'm getting reversed of course) They don't have the block inlay options listed but thats something I'll bet you can hammer out with a rep. Plus they offer nitro finishing on thier necks. I'm not getting the nitro, just the sealer. Also they offer various degrees of hand rolled edges.

Cool stuff, give them a try.

Re: *Final* list

the back one is awesome!!

i like the daphne. The color es amazing but there is something in the combination with the black parts and the black parts that i don like

Re: *Final* list

...black doesn't look bad (especially with the gold guard) but then again it's hard to make a jazzmaster look bad...

Still, I think daphne is the ultimate ;)

I wish musikraft had pricing (for my JM project) but they're probably too expensive for me :laugh2:

I ordered a Jazzmaster '64 reverse headstock, 22fret, 1piece maple neck w/skunk stripe, real aged clay dot inlays, real clay aged side dot inlays, 10" radius, v to c neck contour, heavily hand rolled edges, and sealed/ not finished and it cost me $208 and thats with shipping inclued...$195 with out shipping.

Re: *Final* list

i just think the blue is blech with all that black. If all the black was cream or something and you had maybe a tortoise pg...but you know.

Re: *Final* list

It's decided, by decree of Marcus Icundius, that 2 dream 90s will be used.

I just tried out an old ES-340 with 2 p90s. It was nothing short of amazing! Jittle growl, a little bark, a little bite. A whole lotta awesome!

Go blue bro, it looks cool.

Where did you make them? The Kiskae site doesent have the J-Master.

Re: *Final* list

I like JM pups and I like P90s... but remember you'll need a custom guard if you do anything other than JM pickups. Which could cost more... I have to decide if I want to take a stab at making my first pickguard if you want to go that route :laugh2:
