I like em both as well. It's a tough choice. Jazzmaster pickups are winning my heart right now. Chances are I'll like p90s in a second. I'm really torn. I guess the only way to decide is to buy one and not the other :laugh2: :smack:

I missed the "no pickguard" thing.
Are you sure you want that? I kind of want to do a swimming pool route on this, for no other reason than you're probably going to want to change the pickups in a day anyway

Do you know of some cheaper j-master pickups. BTW Warmoth costs the same as the regular guard.

I forgot you wanted to do a Warmoth guard... They don't quite fit MIJ spec bodies though, but hey. I can probably fudge things either way when I'm making the guitar.
MIJ JM pickups aren't quite "true" jazzmaster pickups, but they might pop up on teh 'bay

Now that's no way to act...
I'd pick blue just because I know you like to stand out from the rest, and that's what you're gonna do with this guitar. However, I still think Jazzmaster pups would be better. I've never understood why people would put P90s or Filterons in a jazzmaster. You're taking away the jazzmaster-ness!

Normally I would always choose Daphne Blue over black, but with that neck and the black binding, the black one just looks like the more "complete" package.
