That's exactly what I've thought of doing, since I love that model. I'm not the biggest fan of that cream white that comes on the Baja, but I'm a HUGE fan of double bound darker colors like yours. That thing turned out great. You should post a picture of it in my thread about assembling Fender Parts.

My initial idea was to find a used Baja and turn it into a relic project, to make it look like it's an actual vintage guitar. Not overly reliced, but just enough to look old.
I think I'm liking your idea better....swapping the body out.

The original baja body was ash.....the new LPB body is alder

Gearjoneser, the baja teles are very good guitars that unfortunately come in only two colours....and both of them are not very sexy.......

bound teles i find extremely gas producing... LPB is a great colour.... i have often wanted a Warmoth double bound tele in metallic candy green...
