sooo...i'm talking to the drummer at my church about some things i'd like to change with the stage setup such as monitor placement, different mic stands, amp stands, wireless stuff, and a pedal board.
he said, "what's a pedal board?"
so i explained to him what they were and how useful it would be and etc and he said, "i could build you one, no problem" :eyecrazy: :eyecrazy: :eyecrazy: :scratchch
so we start talking and after church i show him some boards online...everything from pedaltrains, to trailer trash boards and here's what we have so far...
Aluminum frame (cuz he works at an aluminum fab place) with diamond plate sides, aluminum bottom...24 x 18 with places for wires to disappear to keep the deck clean and become zip tied and secured neatly underneath to a mounted outlet strip (gotta have some juice for the +-12v CM) with one spot.
the deck will have a blue led light strip around the edge of the raised lip on the front and sides to see pedals in the dark and to obviously look cool lol!...holes drilled for power chord exit and maybe input and output jacks...haven't decided on that yet...and handles on the top sides for carry!?!
trying to decide if i want the front of the board a little customized, like a piece of tweed or some other type of tolex across it...or just leave it the polished aluminum!?
best part is...he already has alot of the materials and he's gonna do the labor for free...he loves making stuff and he's stoked to do this project!!!
needless to say i'm completely beside myself to do this project!!! i've been wanting a pedal board forever and i never dreamed i'd have one like this!!!
i told him we could definitely make money on these and he seemed interested...we'll have to see how it goes?!
i'll keep you guys posted and i plane to keep a photo journal as the build goes on!
NEW STUFF ROCKS!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
