How did you dampen the cymbals? Do you have any photos of that? How do they sound in-room when dampened?

I used some thick rubberized tape which is used for duct work, chimneys, and underground pipes.

I'm going to try to put up a video later this week. I plan on showing how they react to playing with samples, and at one point I'll turn down the Monitor Station to show how much acoustic noise there is. Hoping to have that new module in soon, I wired this up over the weekend and I think *two* of the inputs on my Trigger IO are dead.

Take a cymbal, place it on thick carpet. Hit it with a stick. That's about how loud it is. There's a definite "tunk" sound, but it's probably just as loud as a rubber covered plastic one. The bounce back is WAY different too.

Haven't gotten around to getting a video done but I picked up a second Trigger I/O. For the next few days I'll be wiring this up and programming the Trigger I/O's inputs, lots of fun. I picked up a second Alesis kit and cannibalized parts of the rack and some toms, so I have a few 8" and 10" toms and 12" snare and 12" floor tom. Built a few more cymbals and squeezed them in wherever I could, and added a second bass drum and single pedal. Need to get some cable ties soon.

Also figured out what was going on with the first Trigger I/O as I was sitting down to remap it. The last two inputs were duplicating the first one. Just had to change them, so I think that will fix it. Now I have to remap a few other inputs so I've got 40 different notes over both units.
